Casa Sara is for the guest who wants to disappear completely. Tucked into the preserve on a hill, with a more sheltered orientation, it offers the same Pacific, jungle and mountain views and the same off-grid foundation as every bungalow here — but with a character that feels carved into the landscape rather than placed on top of it.

Sitting higher up than the others, it is the most private of the six. Guests who want to see nobody at all tend to end up here.

Weathered timber, salt-touched details, and three directions of view from the one deck.

Check-out follows the water taxi, which leaves Boca de Tomatlán at 8am and lands here around nine. A later check-out can usually be arranged — ask when you request your dates.

Every bungalow is on the sand or a two-minute walk from it. The three beaches are secluded and unspoiled — no development, no beach bar, no lounge chair concession, nothing built on them at all.

Arriving

Self check-in, with someone there to meet the boat

There is no reception desk and no key to collect from an office. One or two people work on the property from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday — they meet the boats, carry what needs carrying, show you your bungalow and help with anything you need while you are here.

Your bungalow is prepared before you arrive. There is no housekeeping during your stay, but someone is on the property through the day — to meet the boat, change a gas tank and help with anything you need.
